The Local Government Authority will be required to: • Endorse the community Development action plans and Micro-project proposals prepared by the communities. • Sign a memorandum of understanding with the National Authorizing Officer and Programme Management Unit (PMU) signifying their commitment to reforms, to their active participation in the programme and to their financial commitment. • Conclude a supply and/or construction contract using their own procedures to undertake their share of the Micro‑projects. • Supervise technical works and ensure that quality standards are safeguarded. • Work closely with Communities and CSOs to ensure that sustainable projects based on participatory and transparent values are designed. • Make timely budgetary provisions for LGA contributions and timely deployment of staff for Health and Education interventions. • Apply procedures for good governance. |
